Hi everyone! So this here is a recipe you will want to save. I promise you will want to make these Corn Chex Treats numerous times. What are Corn Chex Treats? Well, there are not words to accurately describe how amazing they are. Which is why I highly recommend you check out my video so you can WATCH how yummy and easy these Corn Chex Treats are. Basically, Corn Chex Treats are similar to homemade rice krispies treats but a MILLION times better with a slight hint of caramel. Just so you know, that is saying a lot because back when I was in eighth grade I would eat a rice krispie treat EVERY day for lunch (no joke, I was obsessed). If you don’t believe me I have friends to vouch. So simply put, these Corn Chex treats are out of this world! Disclaimer: these treats are extremely addicting. It will be hard to not eat more than one. Plus, this recipe is easy and quick to make. Perfect to bring to a football party such as the Superbowl coming up in a month! (Go Packers!)
Well let’s get to making these treats, shall we? First, measure out five and a half cups of corn chex cereal into a large bowl. Note: If you prefer rice chex you can use that as well; I just like the corn chex better. Measuring your chex first is vital because after you combine the rest of the ingredients you have a short window to pour it over your chex. So after your chex are ready to go, pour your butter and sugars in a pot over medium heat. Once these ingredients are combined add your marshmallows and vanilla and stir until melted. It is important to keep stirring while your marshmallows are melting because you don’t want your mixture to burn. As soon as your mixture is combined and melted take it off the heat and pour it over your chex mix. Then toss your chex around until it is completely coated with this heavenly marshmallow sugary goodness. Simply scoop the mixture out onto a parchment sheet in balls about the size of a baseball. Then let these Corn Chex Treats set up for at least ten minutes. I bet you can’t eat just one! If you want another quick no bake treat try my butterscotch cookies!
